Default Question about Factions with Old Char vs New

With the new GW:Factions coming out and I currently have 4 char's which have beat all missions in game, will I have to delete my original char's in order to Create 2 new characters? or will there be 2 empty spaces incase I would like to build 2 new chars and level them, also would the 2 new chars start pre-searing and be able to go through Tyria before going into the new expansion land?

There will be at least 1 new character slot with the advent of Factions. (Not sure about your second question)

big debate still going on about the char slots and a.net have only said 1 upto now but possibly more.and factions is said to have its own pre-searing style area to start new chars in.

I know the chars from GW can go into the Factions area freely.. but can the Factions chars go back to the regular GW areas?

I believe Guildwars factions will release two charicter slots for Factions.

So far we've always been 2 charicter slot short of being able to make every primary class. (Mesmer, Warrior, Ranger, Necromancer, Elementalist, Monk)

So if they add 2 new Charicters, that means (in my train of thought) that they will add 2 more slots, thus still keeping their old setup implimented. Only being able to make 6 of the 8 charicter options, instead of 4 of the 6 we have now.

I think they should add 2. Otherwise it would be kind of off to only add 1, but adding 2 new charicters.
